Mood Riddim (2015) – House Of Reggae

A sly little roots set, Mood Riddim leans into warm guitar skank, patient bass and a laid-back pulse that leaves space for the voices to carry the feeling. House Of Reggae keeps the production unhurried, and Kojo Kombolo’s “Cannabis” and Dan Issachar featuring Eccleton Jarret on “Noh Tun It Down” sit nicely against the softer uplift of Oneroot Freeman’s “Jah Love. ” The line-up stretches well beyond the first handful of names, with Di Rebel, Caldhino and Dread Vivas helping give the project that loose, community-minded feel.
