By 2021, dancehall was still leaning hard into lean, punchy riddims built for quick-fire voicing, and Temperature Riddim fits that mood with a compact six-track set from Tuff Head and Nikkichin Records. The project runs just 15 minutes and keeps the focus tight, with five artists across the sequence: Gibralta’s title cut, Kashna’s “Life Journey, ” Gucci Flava on “Dash Out” in both clean and explicit versions, SlugHed’s “Frozen, ” and Amazan closing with “All About You. ” The title suggests heat, but the track names lean into the opposite side of the mood, which gives the whole thing a cool, controlled feel rather than a frantic one. Placing the two “Dash Out” versions back-to-back also points to a producer thinking about club play and radio use, while the short running order keeps the riddim moving without any dead space.
