A grimy little 2021 dancehall juggling, Ethanol leans into dark, skittering percussion and a blunt, street-level pulse rather than any glossy polish, which suits the small but tidy cast gathered on it. Ashtro’s “Pan Eh Line” and Draybadz’s “Applaud” set the tone early, while Iya Champs linking with Young Jay on “One Guh” brings a bit of extra lift in the middle of the sequence. Maco Don’s “Drugs Money” keeps the subject matter hard-edged, and Pele Wong’s “Haters” pushes the mood even further into chest-out confrontation before Pxrge Unit closes things with “Ova Dela, ” a cut that leaves the riddim sounding stripped, heavy, and unhurried.
