Tampa Riddim produced by Easy Star Records 2025
Tampa Overview
It started with a simple idea: bring back the rocksteady flow and roots energy into new reggae. The sound architect behind Tampa Riddim wanted to capture the warmth and groove of classic reggae, but with a fresh twist for today’s listeners. The project came together slowly, with each artist adding their own style and voice. Easy Star Records took on the job of producing the riddim. This label is well known in reggae circles. Since the late 1990s, they have released many important reggae albums, including the famous "Dub Side of the Moon" by Easy Star All-Stars. Their experience shows in how they bring artists together and create a strong, unified sound. The riddim became a gathering place for four unique voices. Bazil, from France, brought his smooth delivery to "Under Control." Bazil has made a name for himself in Europe’s reggae scene, especially with his album "East to the West." 1Panic jumped in with "Skank Again," adding energy and a sharp lyrical flow. Kalia teamed up with Shea for "High Most," blending soulful vocals with roots rhythms. Clatta Bumboo’s "Free Offering" brought a deep, spiritual feeling to the project. From the first studio session to the final mix, the riddim grew into something special. Each artist’s track fits together, like pieces of a puzzle, thanks to Easy Star Records’ guidance. Now, Tampa Riddim is quickly finding its way into reggae playlists everywhere, keeping the roots and rocksteady spirit alive for a new generation.
