One Motive Riddim comes out of Morris Code Productions’ 2013 run with a lean, hard-edged dancehall set that keeps the focus tight: eight cuts, four artists, and no wasted space. M. Graph gets the first strike in with “Badmind” and circles back on “Tek Man Fi Fool, ” while Cv (Lnj) keeps the pressure on with “Pop Skull” and “Squeeze Off, ” two titles that tell you exactly how blunt this sequence wants to be. First Born (Lnj) steps in with “Like The Illuminati, ” a more eye-catching cut that widens the mood without loosening the grip, and X-Facta closes the circle with three songs that push the riddim into darker territory, especially “A Dem Waa Dead” and “Weeping And Moaning. ” It’s a compact juggling, but the sharper turns belong to X-Facta, whose final pair leaves the strongest mark.
