Push It 2di Limit Riddim has that early-2010s dancehall pull: lean, digital, and aimed squarely at the sound system, with enough space for the vocals to cut through. Frassout Family and Smokeshop Production lined up 13 tracks for the set, and the title alone gives you the mood — music for pushing things just a little past the edge. G Starr’s “Money Till God Come” has that hungry, street-level energy, while Gaza Maxwell’s “Mi Brain (Kush)” leans into a more hazy, personality-heavy ride. Mighty Ki La and Deva Bratt’s “Dancehall Vendetta” adds some extra bite, and Shane O closes it out with “Fire, ” which feels like the right final spark. Released in March 2013, it caught that period when raw, direct dancehall hooks were still doing serious work.
