Stop Riddim from Germaican Records sits right in that sharp early-2000s dancehall pocket, where the arrangement is lean, the drum pattern is clipped, and the bassline does most of the talking. The 2003 juggling keeps the cast tight with Alley Cat, Cecile, Chico, and Pectacular, and the set’s strongest pull comes from how differently they ride the same cut: Alley Cat’s “Over Cast” is more bark than melody, Cecile leans into the tougher edge of “Hardcore Loving, ” and Chico’s “Di Raid” keeps the energy jittery and alert.
