Steppa Riddim – So Unique Records

Produced by So Unique Records in 2013, Steppa Riddim is a compact four-track dancehall set featuring Gaza Slim’s One Hand, King Asar’s House Party, and Vybz Kartel’s Peanut Shell, plus the label’s own Steppa Riddim version. The release keeps a tight lineup but still pulls in a strong mix of voices, with Kartel’s cut giving it the biggest pull and Gaza Slim adding extra energy. Sounique Records handled the production and issued it as a short, nine-minute riddim EP, making it a quick snapshot of early-2010s dancehall.
