Radar Riddim – Renaissance Disco

Renaissance Disco keeps Radar Riddim tight and lean, with just three tunes in the set and a sharp little lineup that leans on name value as much as contrast. Busy Signal’s “Seek You Shall Find” is the anchor, riding the rhythm with that clipped, forward motion he does so well, while Wayne Marshall’s “Wining Machine” pushes the groove into full party mode and gives the riddim its easiest hook. Tornado’s “Skip” sits right in the middle of that energy, giving the project a rougher edge against the smoother singjay cuts. Under the Renaissance banner, and credited here to Dr Dre, the production feels like a concise 2009 dancehall snapshot rather than a bloated compilation, one of those small-disc riddims that still leaves a clear aftertaste.
