Stag Overview

The Stag Riddim release made a big impression during Carnival 2017 in Trinidad and Tobago. This special riddim was part of the official parade flow, setting the mood as bands and masqueraders moved along the parade routes. The music was a key part of the celebration that year, adding energy and excitement to the streets. Several well-known soca artists were featured on the Stag Riddim. Jaiga brought his song "Nah Leaving" to the project. Jaiga is recognized for his work as a radio personality and for his hit "Party Card." KI delivered "Wuk on Yuh." KI is famous for his crossover hit "Single Forever," which won the Chutney Soca Monarch title in 2012. Lyrikal, another popular soca artist, contributed "No Controversy." Lyrikal is known for songs like "Loner" and has performed at many major Carnival events. The riddim itself, "Stag Riddim 4," was produced by Stadic Music, a production team that has worked with top soca acts and contributed to many Carnival hits. The Carnival director for 2017 helped ensure the parade and music choices matched the festive spirit of the season. The Stag Riddim’s lively percussion and modern soca sound made it a favorite for both fans and masqueraders, blending tradition with a fresh vibe for Carnival 2017.
