Spirited Overview
In 2011, a reggae set called Spirited Riddim appeared on the Jamaican music scene. This collection brought together several well-known reggae and dancehall artists, each adding their own style to the project. Anthony B, famous for his powerful voice and conscious lyrics, contributed the track "Protect Me Oh Jah Jah." Anthony B is known for songs like "Raid the Barn" and has been a strong voice in reggae since the 1990s. Bounty Killer, a dancehall legend with hits like "Look," brought his energy to "Waan Piece A Mi." Bounty Killer is one of Jamaica’s most influential deejays and has won several international awards. Fanton Mojah, recognized for his uplifting messages, delivered "Trough The Fire." G Warren added his song "Pressure," while Harry Toddler, once part of the Scare Dem Crew, performed "Turn To God." Other artists on the set included Lutan Fyah with "System Of Pay Gone," Mojo & Capleton with "Fire Pon Dem Nastiness," Tempericher with "How Does It Feel," and Toya with "Love Like This." The sound on Spirited Riddim blended roots reggae with touches of jazz and soul. The producer behind the project was Notice Productions, a label known for working with top reggae and dancehall acts in Jamaica. Spirited Riddim captured the conscious spirit of 2011, mixing culture and music for both the dancefloor and deeper listening.
