In 2018, the Social Club Riddim dub release gave a fresh platform to young singers in reggae. The project featured a strong lineup, including Anthony B, Don Rico, Bunny General, Raina, and Fido Guido. Each artist brought their unique style to the riddim, helping to keep reggae’s roots alive while also inviting new voices. Anthony B, well-known for his international hit “Raid the Barn” and his album “Real Revolutionary, ” contributed the song “Be Happy Today. ” His powerful delivery and positive message stood out on the dub cut. Don Rico, with his track “Friselle E Banana, ” added a different flavor, showing the riddim’s global reach. Bunny General, a veteran in the dancehall scene, brought energy with “Ring The Alarm. ” Raina’s “Scialla” and Fido Guido’s “Love And Harmony” both offered fresh perspectives, showing the riddim’s ability to support both established and rising artists. The production was led by MORELOVE MUSIC, a label known for supporting reggae and dancehall talent. MORELOVE MUSIC has a history of working with artists from Jamaica and Europe, helping to build bridges in the reggae community. Their careful approach kept the sound warm and true to reggae’s roots. Other tracks like Jahki Revi’s “Remember My Marijuana, ” Odnill’s “Rubadub Commander, ” and Social Club’s own “Riddim” rounded out the release.
