The set runs five cuts deep and keeps the energy warm rather than heavy, with a polished foundation that leaves plenty of room for melody and phrasing. Andre “DJ Frass” Gordon has long been one of Jamaica’s more dependable production hands, with a catalogue that has moved between hardcore dancehall and more mainstream reggae-friendly work.

Here the riddim is carried by Alaine, Christopher Martin, Gentleman, Pressure Busspipe, and Prince Levy. Christopher Martin’s “How Could You” and Alaine’s “Carry On” are the most immediately accessible cuts, both built for singers who know how to turn a simple hook into the center of the tune.
