Shellaz Riddim – Apt 19 Music

Back in 2016, when dancehall was leaning hard into compact, hooky juggling projects, Shellaz Riddim dropped with that same quick-hit energy and a tight cast that knew how to work a riddim. Apt 19 Music keeps the whole thing lean: six tracks, six different voices, and no wasted motion. Kalado’s “Respect Pon Me Name” feels like the anchor here, while RDX’s “Lol” and Voicemail’s “Dem Eye” push the louder, more playful side of the set. The beats run at around two and a half minutes apiece, which gives the project a sharp, DJ-friendly pace, and the sequence ends with the instrumental, underlining that this one was built for selectors as much as singers.
