Subkonshus Music’s School Fee Riddim lands right in that 2011 dancehall pocket where big-money talk, street pressure, and relationship jab-jab all ride the same bounce. The various-artists set lines up 12 cuts, but the sharper pull comes from the names carrying the load: Agent Sasco on “Money Can Buy, ” Darrio on the title tune, and Konshens cutting through with “Violation” and the Konshens-and-Darrio pairing on “Touch Me Gal. ” The tracklist keeps circling the school-fee theme as a stand-in for everyday strain, so even the more flirty entries still feel rooted in that same hustler’s mood.
