In 2017, reggae fans received a special treat with the release of the Replay Riddim. This project began with a simple idea: to build a new rhythm that honored classic roots reggae, but with a fresh twist. The foundation builder, GERMAICA AUSTRIA, took the lead. Known for their dedication to authentic reggae sounds, GERMAICA AUSTRIA is a label with a strong reputation in Europe and beyond. They have worked with many respected artists and have helped bring reggae to new audiences around the world. Once the rhythm was crafted, GERMAICA AUSTRIA invited a carefully selected group of artists to bring their own flavor to the project. Da´Ville, famous for his hit "On My Mind," contributed the heartfelt track "Surrender." General Degree, a veteran in the dancehall and reggae scene with classics like "Traffic Blocking," brought his smooth style to "Feeling Irie." Lukie D, known for his powerful vocal range and work with the group L.U.S.T., delivered "Lock Dem Down." Nyanda, who first gained fame as part of the duo Brick & Lace, added her unique voice to "The Way U Love." Zagga, a rising star in reggae, completed the lineup with "Remote." Each artist gave the riddim their own touch, blending harmony and message. When Replay Riddim finally dropped, it quickly became a roots favorite. Fans loved the balance between old-school vibes and new energy. Looking back, many still call this riddim one of the highlights of 2017, a true meeting point of talent and tradition.
