By the time Impact Musiq dropped Real Friends Riddim in July 2019, the label was already leaning into compact, no-frills dancehall sets, and this one keeps it tight with just three cuts. Jay Krome’s “Daily Basis” has that everyday-grind edge in the title and the delivery matches it, while Whytt Shadow’s “Real Friend” gives the whole thing a more personal, loyal-circled feel. Papi Royal’s “Chip Out” is the sharper, more playful moment, the kind of tune that leans into the riddim’s clipped bounce and lets the vocals do the teasing.
