Rats Hole Riddim – DJ KY

Rough-cut soca energy runs through Rats Hole Riddim, and DJ KY keeps it moving with a compact Barbados-made set that came out in 2021 on Problematic Media. The lineup is lean but sharp: Lil Rick’s “Clean” gives the riddim its brightest hook, while Problem Child’s “Drunk’n Style” and the Mole De Chief/Brucelee Almigthee pairing on “Bad Badd” push the rude-boy edge a little harder. Viking Ding Dong’s “Earthquake” and Walkes’ “Ca-hn Wait” keep the pressure on, so the project never drifts too far from its party-purpose centre. DJ KY closes it out with an instrumental that makes the pattern and bounce plain enough, but it’s Lil Rick’s cut that lands with the most weight and leaves the last impression.
