By 2007, Don Corleon had the dancehall lane locked in enough to turn Raging Bull into a sharp little showcase for big-voice energy and rude-boy swagger. The riddim rides hard but stays nimble, which is why Busy Signal’s “Rising” and Vybz Kartel’s “Wine Pan U” cut through so cleanly, while Capleton’s “Hot” and Munga’s “Earthquake” push the heat up another notch. Voicemail and Cool Face also add a bright, party-ready swing on “Dancing Feva, ” giving the project a lighter edge without softening the attack. Donovan “Vendetta” Bennett kept the production under the Don Corleon banner, and the set’s 9-track run makes it feel like a tight snapshot of mid-2000s dancehall when catchy hooks and shelling basslines were doing most of the talking.
