Hyperventilation Riddim – Crankshaft Muzik

Crankshaft Muzik keeps Hyperventilation Riddim in straight dancehall territory, but there’s a sharper, more feverish edge to it than a lot of mid-2010s juggling. The Helsinki-based producer was working out of Finland at the time, which gives the whole thing a slightly outsider energy without losing the Jamaican pulse. Future Fambo’s “Tonight We Gonna Party” and RDX’s “Turn Up” are the obvious crowd-pleasers, while Munga’s “African Cause” and Crown Head’s “Natural Princess” pull the riddim toward more conscious, roots-leaning space. The sequencing matters here: clean and raw versions sit side by side for Feema and RDX, and the instrumental closes the set, so the project feels assembled with selectors and sound system use in mind rather than just as a loose artist showcase.
