Konsequence Muzik Biography & Music Discography

Riddimz Kalacta X King Dem - Dancehall History 2025 Freestyle

Konsequence Muzik is a Canadian reggae and dancehall production outfit best known for building polished riddims and pairing them with the right voices. The project grew out of a sound system founded in Alberta in 2008 by Tristmar “Trizo” Hensley and business partner Oniel “Diddy” Wint, then moved into record production in the early 2010s as the label began shaping its own lane in the Caribbean music scene. Its work has generally leaned toward warm, melodic, radio-friendly dancehall with enough bounce and detail to travel well from street systems to mainstream playlists.
The label’s early break came with Kurfew Riddim, its first major project, which helped establish Konsequence Muzik as more than a local sound. From there, the catalogue widened steadily, with releases such as Dark Emotions Riddim, Nominee Riddim and Cravin For Love Riddim showing a producer comfortable working across moods while keeping a consistent, singer-friendly groove. Konsequence Muzik has also been linked with songs by a long list of notable Jamaican artists, including Jahmiel, Gyptian, Mavado, Lady Saw, Beenie Man, Konshens and I-Octane.
One of the project’s clearer career markers was the success of Jahmiel’s “True Colours,” which gave the label its first number one and brought wider attention to its production style. That moment summed up what Konsequence Muzik has done best: build solid riddims that leave space for the artist, while still carrying a strong identity of their own. The sound is clean, accessible and rooted in dancehall tradition, but it has also shown an ear for modern arrangement and crossover appeal.
What stands out most about Konsequence Muzik is the way it has balanced ambition with consistency. Rather than chasing one-off trends, the label has built a body of work around dependable craftsmanship, vocal collaborations and a steady release rhythm. That approach has made Konsequence Muzik a familiar name for listeners who follow contemporary reggae and dancehall through the riddim circuit, where strong production and memorable hooks still matter most.
