Kurfuu Riddim – Konsequence Muzik Group

Out of Canada’s reggae lane in 2013, Kurfuu Riddim captures Konsequence Muzik Group in that early compilation mode, putting four voices over one clean, straight-ahead backdrop. Melloquence’s “Beautiful Distraction” brings the sweetest hook in the set, while Jahmeil’s “Zion Door” leans more devotional and gives the riddim a firmer lift. Ratigan and Amoui’s “Life We Are Living” adds a little edge and helps show how the production keeps the cuts moving without crowding them. Konsequence Muzik Group was still establishing itself then, and this one feels like a first proper calling card rather than a padded sampler, with Navino’s “Gone Too Soon” giving it a more reflective turn near the finish. Short, tidy, and to the point, just four tracks and no wasted motion.
