Press Gas Riddim came out in 2013 from Warriors Music and Subkonshus Music, a pairing that makes sense in the Dancehall lane because Konshens was already one of the biggest names tied to the Subkonshus camp, while Warriors Musick handled the full riddim package. The set landed as a nine-track juggling with eight artists, and it sits firmly in that early-2010s period when digital dancehall riddims were still chasing a hard bounce and quick replay value.

The rhythm has that driving, pressure-heavy feel the title promises: bright and animated, with a mid-tempo push that leaves room for sharp patter as well as melodic hooks. Devano’s “Stronger” and Delus’s “Getaway” bring the more straightforward singer-deejay balance, while Lutan Fyah’s “Baby Ur So” softens the edges with his familiar roots-conscious phrasing. Konshens is the obvious anchor, turning up with “Out Yasso Dread” and a radio edit that helped the riddim travel beyond the street corner. His cut has the most immediate pull, built for call-and-response energy and the kind of grin-inducing badman talk that sticks fast. Patexxx’s “No Gal, ” Sir Lord’s “How You Gwan, ” O’Conno’s “You Brake my heart, ” and Thugsy Malone’s “Drink and Smoke” flesh out the set with different shades of slack, heartbreak, and everyday dancehall commentary.

It’s not a sprawling concept record; it’s a clean juggling meant to move sound systems and keep selectors switching quickly. The mix of Konshens, Lutan Fyah, and the lesser-known names gives it enough weight and enough variety to feel like a proper snapshot of the 2013 dancehall circuit.
