Posh Riddim (2010) – Goodlife Music

Goodlife Music came in with a slick, no-nonsense dancehall cut on Posh Riddim, and the whole thing has that early-2010s Kingston bounce: crisp drums, a lean bassline and enough space for the voicings to cut through. Chux Star’s “My Addiction” sets the tone, while Newbalanz double up with “Gweh” in both clean and raw form, a reminder of how often the same song could live two lives on a riddim like this. Powerman gets two swings too, on “Lie Detector” and “Tight Pussy Story, ” and Nikka Showa, Pearla and Snoops keep the energy moving with their own sharp, streetwise takes. It’s a tidy snapshot of that era when dancehall riddims were built for selectors as much as for the dance, with one version track and a compact lineup doing the heavy lifting.
