Goodlife Music keeps Maddness Riddim lean and sharp, with just four cuts and a tight cast around the title groove. Cp Inc’s “Big Foot” and New Kidz’s “Seh She Hot” do the heavy lifting on the frontline, while Newbalanz’s “Dash It Up” adds a bit more bounce before Nitty Kutchie and Gyptian link up on “Thugz” for the most recognizable pull on the set. It has that early-2010 dancehall snap, the kind of compact, no-frills juggling that the label had been leaning into around this period, following the slightly more expansive feel of earlier Goodlife work like Perspire.
