Passover Overview
Passover Riddim came out in 2011 from JAHLIGHT RECORDS in Trinidad and Tobago. This reggae riddim stayed true to the classic roots sound, with deep bass and conscious lyrics. Several talented artists brought their own style to this project. Dainjamental’s “Bun A Gossiper” is a standout, with sharp lyrics and a smooth delivery. Fyakin, who is known for his album “Journey,” adds his voice to the riddim with “High High,” bringing positive energy. Matthew Greenidge teams up with Rincher for “Burn To Learn,” and Rincher also gives a solo version called “Burn To Learn.” Queen Omega, a well-known Trinidadian reggae singer with international tours and hits like “Selassie I Know,” delivers the powerful track “Passover.” The riddim also includes songs from Raslett (“Revolution”), Revelation (“The Plague Is Coming”), Roxy Singh (“Jah Light Must Shine”), Wildlife (“No Drama”), and an instrumental version called “Passover Riddim.” JAHLIGHT RECORDS, the producer behind this riddim, is known for supporting Caribbean reggae artists and helping roots reggae grow in Trinidad and Tobago.
