Final Chapter Riddim – Jahlight Records

Out in 2012, Final Chapter Riddim came through as a compact Jahlight Records set with a pointed, devotional tone and just seven cuts to its name. The cast is small but nicely chosen: Vybrant’s “Joy In Abundance” and Prince Levi’s “Signs Of The Time” sit right alongside Prophet Pillar’s “Ever Bless” and Nefta’s “Rastaman, ” so the project moves between uplift and roots reflection without ever losing its easy pulse. Jahlight keeps the arrangements lean and bright, letting the vocals do the heavy lifting, and the whole thing plays like a snapshot of a label with a clear ear for conscious reggae. Even the closing self-titled instrumental feels like a quiet sign-off.
