In 2016, the Palestine Riddim brought together roots reggae and dancehall in a way that echoed classic reggae sounds. The project was led by IRIE SOUNDS INTERNATIONAL, a producer and label known for blending reggae with global influences. IRIE SOUNDS INTERNATIONAL has worked with many reggae artists around the world and is respected for keeping reggae’s roots and culture strong in modern music. The recording process for the Palestine Riddim focused on live instruments and warm, melodic beats. This gave the songs a rich, organic feel, true to reggae’s foundation. The culture arranger made sure each track stayed connected to reggae’s message of unity and resistance. Each artist on the riddim added their own touch. Badda Skat’s “How Can We Divide” stands out with heartfelt lyrics and a smooth delivery. Badda Skat is known in the reggae scene for his conscious lyrics and energetic performances. Rocker-T’s “Sorrow & Shame” brings deep emotion and a classic reggae vibe. Joshua Hales, with “Calling,” delivers a soulful message that fits perfectly with the riddim’s roots style. Prezident Brown’s “Soul Skank” adds his signature chant and wisdom. Prezident Brown has been a key figure in reggae since the 1990s, famous for albums like “To Jah Only” and for spreading positive messages.
