Pretty Looks Riddim is a 2020 reggae juggling from Irie Sounds International, released on August 7 and built around 11 cuts with a rootsy, old-school feel. Fred Locks and Rasun open with Live What They Learn, while EarthKry’s Pretty Looks Isn’t All, Prezident Brown’s Pretty Looks Outside, and Turbulence’s Different Kind of Girl give the set some of its strongest moments. Irie Sounds International, based in Shashamane, Ethiopia, has been steadily working in cultural roots reggae, and this release follows that path with a mix of veteran voices, younger harmony styles, and a dub closer from Irie Sounds Band that ties the whole set together.
