Pain Killa Riddim (2004) – Unusual Suspect

A taut, mid-2000s dancehall cut with enough voltage to keep the club moving, Pain Killa rides a sharp, stripped-back riddim that leaves plenty of room for the voices to cut through. Bounty Killer and Angel Doolas come in hard on “Walk Out, ” while Lady Saw and Lexxus keep the energy blunt and cheeky; Daville’s “Hold Him” adds a smoother edge without softening the rhythm’s bite.
