Overtime Riddim from JA Productions arrived in 2012 as a sharp dancehall juggling with a long line of voices, including Beenie Man, Christopher Martin, Gyptian, Mavado, Elephant Man and Khago, and Blak Ryno. The riddim’s title track comes from Gyptian, while Christopher Martin’s Na Na Na, Mavado’s Caribbean Girls, and Beenie Man’s Clean Heart are among the better-known cuts on the set. Produced by Justus Arison’s JA Productions, it leans on a clean, driving groove that gave the project a polished feel and helped it travel well beyond Jamaica.
