Very Huge Records kept the Night Creature Riddim in that late-2000s dancehall pocket where the energy stays raw but the melodies still cut through, and the line-up does a lot of the work: Konshens’ “Dem Run, ” Elephant Man’s “Head Top, ” Anthony B’s “Dem A War, ” and Munga’s “Gangster Name” all sit right in the center of the action.
