Dutty Town Riddim – Good Youth Production

With just five cuts and four voices, Dutty Town Riddim keeps the focus tight, leaning on Pamputtae’s “Uptown Vs Downtown Gal” alongside double versions from Propa Ting and Ranco so the riddim gets worked from a few angles instead of being crowded out. Good Youth Production gives it a straight-up 2012 dancehall frame, the kind of raw, street-level groove that leaves room for the deejays to jab and flex, while the clean and raw pairings on “Whine Up” and “Do Yuh Ting Baby” make the contrast between radio-friendly polish and rougher dubplate energy part of the appeal.
