By 2019, Studio 91 had already started carving out a steady run of dancehall instrumentals, and Motive Riddim sits neatly inside that catalogue with a compact seven-track set headed by Frisco Kid, Ice Dymondz and Nitty Kutchie. The production keeps a lean, modern pulse: clipped drums, a firm low end, and enough space in the arrangement for the singers to ride the groove without crowding it. Ice Dymondz gets two passes on “My Love, ” while Nitty Kutchie’s “Right Stuff” also appears in a raw version, which gives the release a slightly archival feel, like the label wanted the vocal and stripped-back takes in the same frame. Frisco Kid’s “No Worry We” is the most immediate cut in the bunch, but the whole thing hangs on that brisk, mid-tempo dancehall swing and a bass pattern that stays tight rather than heavy-handed.
