Tight and percussive, this 2019 Hot Spot Studios set keeps the focus on a handful of dancehall cuts rather than chasing a big sprawling lineup. Real V. I opens with “Wine It, ” Macka Diamond turns in the sharp “Jealousy, ” and Silver Cat turns business-minded on “Entrepreneurship, ” while Galaxy P’s “Praise Him” brings a more conscious edge into the mix. The sequence ends the way a proper riddim package should, with Hot Spot Studios tacking on the instrumental so the rhythm can breathe on its own.
