Morning Ride Riddim (2012) – Inspired Music Concepts

A dusty, midtempo dancehall swing runs through Morning Ride Riddim, with enough bounce for party talk but a rough edge that keeps it from getting too glossy. Inspired Music Concepts keeps the rhythm lean and direct, and Lexx’s “Inna My Phone” sits nicely beside Teflon’s gruffer “Cyan Hold Me, ” while Iyara and Stacious lean into the chemistry on their radio and raw cuts of “Love Me. ” Ryme Minister’s “Pretty Wine” adds a sly, flirtatious lift near the end, and the set closes with the producer’s own riddim cut, a neat little tag on a six-track 2012 release.
