Morning Bliss Riddim (2018) – Jr Bloodline/Luigi Society

Morning Bliss Riddim comes in tight with seven cuts and just six voices, so it feels more like a focused dancehall set than a sprawling compilation. Jah Vinci carries the opening with “Chaarger, ” and the project leans into that same brash, streetwise energy on Munga Honorable’s title tune and Noah Powa and Cutty’s “House Deportee, ” which also appears in raw form. Released in 2018, the riddim is credited to Jr Bloodline and Luigi Society, and it has that lean, bass-heavy late-2010s dancehall pulse that leaves room for the vocals to cut through. ZJ Liquid’s “Money Phone” closes things out neatly, while the instrumental is what ties the whole package together.
