Chop Riddim – Cold Case

Cold Case keeps this one lean: just two cuts, no wasted motion, and the title does the talking. “Chop Riddim” leans into a clipped, stalking dancehall pulse with hard drum kicks and a low, twitchy bassline that leaves plenty of room for the vocals to jab through. Daddy Spine’s “Wah Chop” brings the sharper edge, while Nevaro’s “Skating Pon Ice” rides the same pattern with a more slippery, ice-cold swagger. Released in 2018 on Cold Case Records, the project runs barely five minutes, so it lands like a quick burst rather than a full juggling. By the time the instrumental settles behind “Skating Pon Ice, ” the riddim has already made its point: terse, road-ready, and built for a fast pull-up.
