Mighty Riddim (2013) – Munman Empire

Munman Empire’s Mighty Riddim doesn’t reach for any big crossover polish; it stays in the rough, party-minded end of early-2010s dancehall, where the bass line does most of the talking and the voicing feels made for local sound systems. The 2013 set runs eight cuts deep, with Danny English’s “You No, ” Hawkeye’s “Clean, ” and Mr Easy’s “Real Dawg” giving it the sharpest personality, while Big Wayne, G Monie, Kevin Famous and Stoney keep the energy circulating. Munman Empire leaves the final slot for its own “Mighty Version, ” which makes the sequence feel deliberate rather than just a loose pile of tunes. It plays like a producer’s showcase, but the track order gives it the shape of a proper juggling: voices up front, version at the end, no wasted space.
