Mid Summer Riddim – Gesta Music

Mid Summer Riddim leans into that bright, open-air dancehall energy that was all over 2013, with Gesta Music keeping the groove tight and party-ready rather than overcomplicated. The lineup is small but sharp: Dane Ray’s “Party Nuh Dun Ye” kicks things off with proper shell-down intent, while Fyah Wariyah and Taynium’s “Feel Numb (Party Time)” and Lejean’s “Summer It Tun Up” keep the temperature high. Navino’s “My Life” gives the set a slightly more personal angle, but the whole thing is still geared toward movement and late-day sound system business. Akwiline closes it out with “When We A Party, ” which pretty much tells you exactly where this riddim wants to live: right in the middle of a summer dance, with the instrumental carrying that same easy bounce underneath.
