“Lifetime” is a lean 2013 dancehall cut from Wayout Records, and the groove looks geared more toward message and movement than star power. C Boy’s “King Of Kings, ” Fyah Prince’s “Life, ” and Ras Chepah’s “Call Di King” lean into roots-minded praise lyrics, while Muhuweleli and Zimdread keep the spiritual tone going with “Shangoni” and “Thanks And Praises. ” With just five voiced tracks, the riddim has room to breathe, so the chant-heavy hooks and percussion can do the talking without getting crowded out.
