Melodic Fanatic Riddim – Not On Label Records

The title says it all: this one leans into a bright, melodic dancehall swing rather than brute force, with Schrubba Knox and Pamela opening on “Hey” before Shocking Murray’s “Rise Ma Gun” pushes the energy a little harder. The Huxtables keep the vibe moving with “Cyaan Get You, ” and that last version cut, “This Is How We Do It, ” ties the whole 2004 set together with the kind of instrumental run that gives a riddim its shape. Not On Label Records kept the package lean, five tracks all told, so there’s no fat to trim and no room for the groove to wander.
