Lotto Riddim – W.W.S. Records

By 2002, W. W. S. Records was threading Lotto Riddim through the Jamaican dancehall circuit with a compact six-track set that pairs streetwise singjays and veteran voices on the same rhythm. Captain Barkey’s “Mi Number, ” Determine’s “Hope And Pray, ” Leroy Smart’s “Blessings, ” Lexxus’ “Clear The Place Up, ” and Mr. Vegas’ “Mi No Know” all ride the pattern before the version closes things out, which gives the release that classic one-riddim, vocal-to-instrumental sequencing dancers and selectors loved at the time. Smart’s presence adds a little old-school gravity, while Vegas and Lexxus keep the energy in the modern 2002 lane. Lotto Riddim was produced by W. W. S. Records and issued with one version cut.
