Escape Riddim has that sharp, urgent early-2000s dancehall bounce, all taut drums and a sneering, stuttering pulse that keeps the version moving without ever feeling cluttered. Bacchanal 45 lined up a smart mix of voices here: Capleton brings the fire on “Better Listen Now, ” while Alozade’s “Tonic And Herb” and Spice’s “Good Loving” pull the riddim in a more playful direction, with Danny English and the LA Lewis/Jomo pairing adding extra colour in between.
