LIONESS RIDDIM produced by LYON HOUSE PRODUCTION 2011
Lioness Overview
In 2011, selectors across Jamaica were quick to pick up the Lioness Riddim for their dancehall sessions. The journey started in the studio with LYON HOUSE PRODUCTION, a label known for its sharp sound and consistent releases. The team behind LYON HOUSE PRODUCTION had already built a name with several street anthems, and this project continued their run. The track builder for Lioness Riddim mixed energetic drum patterns with classic horn riffs, giving the riddim a unique edge that stood out that year. As the riddim took shape, artists stepped in to add their voices. Determine brought his signature energy to "Drink What U Can Buy," a song that fit perfectly with his reputation for strong, conscious lyrics. Dups delivered "Fresh O.D," adding new flavor to the collection. Express’s "Why" gave the set a thoughtful touch, while Fambo, known for his hit "Rum & Redbull" with Beenie Man, kept the party going with "Bachelor'S Party." Monster Empire added grit with "Hate Mi," and Potential rounded out the lineup with "Let'S Go." Selectors loved how each track showed a different side of yard music in 2011. From the studio to the dance, Lioness Riddim became a favorite, proving that a strong riddim and the right voices could still move the crowd.
