Lyon House Muzik and Maria Jackson Entertainment were already leaning into that rough, straight-ahead dancehall lane when they put out Sickness Riddim (Reloaded) in 2012, and the five-track set keeps the focus tight rather than crowding the cut with filler. Chaos opens with “Working Fi Di Money, ” but it’s the run from Conshus’ plea-riddim “Do Something For The Poor” into Karamanti’s “Jamdown We Say” and Sizzla’s “Burn Out Smithsonians” that gives the project its edge, all riding a sharp, bare-bones pulse that leaves plenty of room for the vocals to bite. Mackamilli’s “2 Tongue Snake” adds a slyer, more teasing note in the middle of it all. The full lineup is Chaos, Conshus, Karamanti, Mackamilli and Sizzla Kalonji, with five songs total on the release.
