With “Various Artists” sitting in the producer slot, Lageol Riddim feels more like a compact 7-inch-style dancehall statement than a sprawling compilation, and the 2007 date fits that lean, no-frills setup. There are only two cuts here, but they carry different shades of the same attitude: Gangsta Familly’s “Entre Z? b Et Lageol” comes in rough and street-level, while Tiken’s “Lageol Pa Mol” pushes the title phrase with a sharper, more pointed edge. That contrast gives the riddim its shape, even without a long tracklist to lean on.
