His “I Knew I Love You” sits alongside Stevie Face’s easy glide on “Wherever You Go, ” Craig Scott’s “I Want You Back, ” Emoshan’s “Take Me Away, ” and Priceless cutting through with “Nah Choke Nuh Rabbit, ” while the instrumental closes the circle cleanly. It’s a compact six-track reggae package, all warm melodies and straightforward lovers’ energy rather than anything too busy or adventurous, which leaves room for the vocals to do the talking. Stevie Face is the name that keeps coming up in the lineup, but Lukie D’s opening cut gives the whole thing its sweetest hook and the strongest first impression.
