Kingly Character Riddim sits right in that mid-2000s dancehall pocket where the productions were lean, tough, and made for sound system pull-up rather than polish. The set keeps things tight with just four cuts, and that brevity works in its favor: Anthony B’s “Hard Eew” comes in rough and direct, Bascom X’s “Dont Waste My Time” keeps the pressure on, and Teflon’s “Rise Up” adds a more uplifted chant to the mix without softening the edge.
