Full Moon Records had a lively hand on this 2005 dancehall set, and you can hear that confidence in the way it lets the voices cut straight through the rhythm. Capleton’s “Rise Up” and Elephant Man’s “Downtown” sit at the center of it, with Elephant Man even getting both edit and raw versions, while Cecile, Kiprich and Delly Ranks keep the pace moving with their own sharp turns. The tracklist feels like a busy Kingston dance room snapshot, jumping from party-shelling energy to rougher, more confrontational cuts without losing momentum. There’s also a nice spread of styles here, from Lukie D’s smoother approach to Madd Anju’s grittier “Dead Fi Hungry, ” and the whole thing runs to 18 tracks, which is plenty of mileage for one riddim.
